Been lurking here for a long time but since I'm finally starting to have a good idea of what I would like to do with my steampunk persona, I've decided to come and present my ideas to you generous ladies and gents for some feedback.

Hello everyone. Some of you might know that I am creating a comic based on Star Control universe. The comic is called Groombridge Log and the first chapter (prologue) has been hosted at PoNaF for some time now. www.star-control.com/hosted/gl-comic/

Currently I am working on chapter one.



Now that I have your attention, let's get down to business.

I like to draw with pencil and paper. I need someone to "ink" and colour my sketches. For a year now one fateful chap called Glory Device has been my co-creator. The problem is that he has too much "real life" and he doesn't have much time for this project. I've talked it over with him and we both think it would be best if I found someone with enough time (and skill) to ink and colour about one page per week.

Since at neither SCDB or UQM forums nobody wanted to take the job, I was pointed into Frungylovers. (I created a live journal account and learned to somewhat use it for this purpose only)

So here I am with a job offer for you artistic folks. I want someone to team up with me in creating this comic. Currently I have four pages of chapter one sketched and about 10 more scripted.

Rant #1: Does anyone else have one of those people you really, really love to RP with and you always look forward to doing so with them? I have a partner I've been roleplaying with for... like 6 years now. Our characters have incredibly complex backgrounds because of it and I'm really comfortable playing those characters. Things just flow. Because we have a 13 hour time difference, though, it's hard to find a time that works for us. My work schedule's changed, though, and I was totally stoked to roleplay with her. First two days, no big deal. We roleplayed for a while and it was awesome. Then the next three days, when I asked, she just wouldn't respond to my IMs. I know she's there. She's posting status on like Facebook and her status says she's there but she goes idle every now and again. Dude, if you just say 'hey, not today, I'm so tired from work' or something like that, I know to stop bugging you. But when you can't even say Hi or something, it's totally annoying. I dunno, it rubs me the wrong way completely.
Rant #2: When you do a group roleplay, it's a group. This group is only a threebie, and because of time differences again, it makes it hard to find time. And not just that, but my internet's been out. But the other two don't just go "eff if, she's not here so let's ignore her characters and continue on" when you're in the middle of a serious conversation or important actions. Because I saw they had gone on like 15-20 multi paragraph posts, I can't even catch up, and I was like 'you know what, nevermind. You guys just roleplay' YOU CAN'T BITCH. You can't be like "No no no no, we'll just say Character C took you're character away and it'll be all good". It's not all good, because maybe I had ideas during the portion the other two were going on with.
I don't even know if that's comprehend able. Yay 3 AM.

I've developed a strong and ultimately pathetic infatuation with a movie series that has no fandom, and so I was reduced to trawling the Misc. Movies section of FF.net in desperation for fic to read before I lose interest in the fandom in two weeks or so.

The problems fandom sections have in FF.net are a hundred times worse in the Misc. sections - because while FF.net is - well - what it is, at least in most fandoms you can be sure that 90% of what you read will be a fanwork, for that fandom, of at least SOME kind. But the Misc section is a litter bin. It is the chewing gum stuck on the inside of the wastepaper basket you're not supposed to use for anything other than paper but people keep putting chewing gum in there because they can't be bothered to walk over to the bin on the other side of the room.

Well, I'm twenty pages in and my brain has deflated. So, if anyone knows a secret spaghetti Western fanfic archive which is so exclusive that one person knows the name of the site and the other knows the name on the page and they both hate each other but are forced to work together in order to get the fanfic while journeying through a warzone, please give me a shout.

Hello LJ land!

I've been sick, which is nothing new. Not entirely sure what it was. Monday I started getting bad migraines, and by Wednesday my stomach was upset and I was feverish and achey. I feel better today, so....

Uh, I really haven't been doing much since I last posted. I'm level grinding in LO, so not much more has happened there - and I'll be honest, I've been hesitating playing further for fear of crushing disappointment - and I've been sick so I haven't been doing much. I did go to hang with some friends, but a migraine interrupted so I cut plans short.

Oh! LJ did finally email me all my notifications crap, INCLUDING CHRISTMAS CRAP! THANK YOU, FLIST! *hugs*

Speaking of...I'm still seriously considering changing my LJ name. It was a silly little thing I picked out like a decade ago, and it's just not me anymore. Plus, um, I'm kind of getting sick of people I don't know who read some fic I wrote like ten years ago under this name and come here and PM me and ask for more or whatever.

Plus, at this point, 'cool' spellings of common names just strike me as silly. I'm tired of Feylene. I am just plain Faye.

The only problem is, I shouldn't be picking an LJ name right now. (At least acrossthesky is already taken, because if not....) Of course, crossthesky isn't taken....

I have a problem. And now I have this image of nijawial and Sasuke staging some sort of intervention. Or just backing me into a corner and spraying me in the face with water and yelling 'No! Bad Faye!'.

OH! That reminds me! I've also been playing The Sims. Now that I've transferred the important things from Walter to Tolten, Walter was cleared off and defragged and now he's very happy running my games and my graphic programs.

I'll have to post some Sims pics later, since I'm on Tolten, but holy crap. Each time I make a new household, I comment that these are/this is the funniest Sim/s I've had. And once more, we've been beaten. How?

There is a person who is highly adverse to most physical contact, and has several conditions, both pyschological and physical, which leave him wanting to be very modestly clothed at all times. He's very attached to a boy, enough so that he's managed to be comfortable enough to, at times, shed just a very few articles of clothing in front of this child. That's sort of a big thing for him.

The child is, by nature, kindhearted, and though he's withdrawn from both the world and himself, he's rather enamored with that person, in a way that no one in canon is really able to explain. Really, the two of them are very, very close. After a certain point in time, having one without the other leaves the both of them distraught. Interestingly, they know next to nothing about each other. The person has very much that he's hiding; the child would rather not give himself up to conversation. It leaves both of them wondering, but neither of them cross the boundary of asking. The child especially is afraid that should he ask to know the person's secrets, their relationship will waver, become further strained, and break. In fact, the child seems to take great care to disturb the waters they share as little as possible, even when the lack of insight causes him anguish.

The person has obviously, even to those who don't know much of his backstory, suffered some pretty severe trauma.

Why, then, fandom, is it popular to set up a scenario where the child will push (with varying degrees of forcefulness) the person into showing him more of himself, even after the person displays discomfort? If the person ends up showing that he's uncomfortable at all, which he most certainly should. In the same thread of things, why does the child often initiate (again, varying degrees of) sexual contact with a person who's often made terrified/angry when he's touched, let alone exposed, when this child is supposed to be very wary of treading on this person's toes? 

Please note, fandom, that in the greater part of canon, the person is intersexed; this causes him to be very unsure of himself and his body. It's also likely that, because of his circumstance (and the people who did not accept it), he's developed negative views on what he knows of sex.

Fundamental characterization may get in the way of your porn or makeouts, guys, but it's still fundamental characterization.

Alternatively: author, your story had an excellent point of things, and I did indeed shed a tear. However, it was jarring to see a character referred to exclusively by a nickname that only one character in canon ever uses for her. Took from the experience some. ;_;

I'm assuming you want your guys to reach the basement before too much of nightshift has gone past and I'd rather Jason not get knocked out/badly hurt just as the night is getting started so, how did we want to work this?
